We all want to do our part for the environment, and we dislike spending money on handy little gadgets that can make life easier. By using a little imagination, you can recycle items and create nifty solutions to bothersome kitchen problems.

Making a Kitchen Aid or Cabinet Accessory

You don't have to have to be extremely crafty to make a basic kitchen aid or cabinet accessory. In fact, many things are ready for use as they are. Stop looking at things merely as they are, and think of what they could be! Here is a list of ideas that should turn you into a fabulous recycler and kitchen aid- or cabinet accessory-maker.

Various Kitchen Aid and Cabinet Accessory Ideas

  • Turn a margarine or yogurt container into a scrubber-holder by cutting slits in the lid and pressing it upside down into the container
  • Jam cans, coffee tins, and peanut butter jars make great "instruments" for kids
  • Toilet paper, paper towel, and wrapping paper rolls can be held together with rubber bands for use as utensil or pencil holders
  • Small boxes or box sides can be cut to make drawer organizers
  • Non-deposit producing bottles can become bird feeders by cutting openings in them, stringing some twine through the neck, and hanging them in the yard with some bird seed in the bottom
  • Milk jugs without the lid can serve as handy funnels as well when you remove the bottom

With just a little bit of innovation, you can recycle used kitchen items by turning them into various kitchen accessories.
