Among the states of America, South Carolina is known to be one of the states that have been hit by the 2008 crisis the most. Recovering from an 11.5% unemployment rate, most of the residents of South Carolina have either moved to greener pastures, sold their homes for more affordable ones, or stayed in their homes but with barely any renovations done so as to save and perhaps to survive. There are some residents, however, who have found cabinet refacing as one of the ways for kitchen remodeling.

Although some changes in the kitchen cabinets is hardly any move for changes in kitchen design, the fact that there have been some changes done on the kitchen may be assumed that there have been some kitchen renovation done. While veneers and laminates may work for updating cabinets in the kitchen, some residents of South Carolina may go as far as contacting local contractors, but there are not a lot of them who will go for an all out kitchen redesign because of the expenses that are about to be incurred.
